A move that fits your home

A one-bedroom flat and a family home need very different moves. With TheVanApp you choose how you book: by the hour for smaller moves with a few stops, or for the full day when there is a lot to carry.

Every booking includes the driver and one helper, and you can add more helpers on Van by Hour and Van by Day. Schedule your moving day in advance, and you see the price straight away.

On the day, you follow the van live in the app and pay securely in the app, with no cash needed.

Which booking for your move?

A rough guide. You can always extend a Van by Hour booking in the app if the move runs over.

Items Moving

A fixed price for the items you list, even for just one item, worked out from your items and the distance. Minimum order €70.

Best for

Just a few big items, such as a sofa and a bed.

Van by Hour

An hourly rate with as many stops as you need. Running over? Extend in the app as you go.

Best for

A studio or one-bedroom flat, or a move with several stops.

Van by Day

A flat daily rate for a full 8-hour day with the van, the driver and the helper.

Best for

Two bedrooms or more, or a move with a lot of boxes.

Your moving checklist

  • Two weeks before: declutter, and schedule your moving day in the app.
  • The week before: pack and label boxes room by room.
  • A few days before: measure big furniture, doorways and lifts, and take apart what won’t fit.
  • The day before: defrost the fridge and freezer and drain the washing machine.
  • On the day: keep keys, documents and valuables with you, and check every room before you leave.

Good to know

  • Have everything packed and sealed before the van arrives. The driver and helper do the loading, carrying and unloading.
  • Tell us about stairs or no lift when you book; any charge shows in your quote.
  • Your belongings are not automatically insured, so arrange cover for valuable items.

How much does a house removal cost in Malta?
It depends on the service. Items Moving is priced by your items and the distance, with a minimum order of €70. Van by Hour is an hourly rate and Van by Day is a flat daily rate. Prices include VAT, any charge for stairs or lifts is shown in your quote, and you see the exact price before you confirm. See how pricing works.
How long will my move take?
It depends on how much you have, the stairs and lifts, and the distance. Van by Day covers a full 8-hour day. With Van by Hour you can extend in the app if the move runs over.
Can I add more helpers?
Yes. Every booking includes the driver and one helper, and on Van by Hour and Van by Day you can add extra helpers in the app when you book.
Can I book my moving day in advance?
Yes. Choose Schedule, pick the date and time and you see the price straight away. Once a driver accepts, we let you know and you pay in the app to confirm.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes, in the app. Cancelling a scheduled booking well ahead is free, and the fee rises as the start time gets closer. The app shows the exact fee before you confirm. See our Terms.
